B737 Classic B1 (with B737 NG Differences extension)
A B737NG B1 Type rating course, with an extension for B737 B1 Classic - NG Differences, is planned for early (February or March)2009.
Practical Training Package
The course will consist of the B1 Theory classroom course, together with optional packages for practical training (Classic only) carried out in the same location immediately following the end of the classroom course.
Location and Accommmodation
Accommodation and meals will be provided within the course price.
The course will take place overseas, in a congenial climate and new facility. Travel costs will not be prohibitive; flights to/from UK are available at £100 - £200 each way.
Highly Intensive Course
The course will be extremely intensive, and very hard work. This is because it is designed for contractors who need to minimise loss of income by spending the minimum amount of time away from work on the course. It would not be suitable for anyone without a current EASA B1 Licence or equivalent, or anyone who is not reasonably familiar with modern jet airliners and their systems, manuals and documentation.
Costs
Prices for the complete package are being finalised. The practical assessment requirements vary; they depend on your previous experience and type ratings already held.
Other Information
The course is subject to final agreement with the facility concerned for practical training and assessments , as well as with the accommodation provider. These aspects will be firmed up by th end of October 2008.
The total cost of the course, taking tuition, practical assessment, accommodation and loss of income into account will be considerably lower than available elsewhere.
